| Biddy Devlin was one of the Irish Famine Orphans on the Lady Kennaway. She had been a House Servant prior to leaving her native place of County Donegal, Ireland; she was Roman Catholic and could neither read nor write. Both parents were dead. (Nominal Passenger List - VPRS 14/P0000/0004)
Biddy spent 3 days in the Immigration Depot - leaving there on 15th December 1848. She was engaged as a General Servant by William Disher of Melbourne for 6 months at £12 per annum with rations. (Disposal List - VPRS 14/P0000/0004 & VPRS 14/P0000/0006)
Biddy married Edward Morgan in 1849.
Bridget died of Peritonitis and heart failure on 7th January 1907 at Connewarre (Death Certificate 1907/2417). Her parents were John Devlin, Farmer, and Mary Lipsey. The Informant on the Death Certificate was her son-in-law, George Lamond of Mount Duneed. According to the Death Certificate, she was born in Donegal, Ireland; spent 60 years in Victoria and was married at the age of 18 years to Edward Morgan. They had the following children:-
- William born 1852 and living in Gnarwarre
- Mary Ann born 1858 and married to Thomas Jones, Hotelkeeper, of Diggers Rest
- Charles born 1861 and living in Inverleigh
- Louisa born 1862 (Birth Certificate 1862/21281) and died before 1899 - Louisa married Charles Thorn
- Isabella born in 1865 (Birth Certificate 1865/9156) and unmarried at the time of her father's death in 1899.
Edward died 30th December 1899 and his death was registered in 1900 (Death Certificate 1900/3033). He was 81 years old at the time of his death and his parents were James Morgan and Margaret Henderson.
