Dear Sir, I went on board the Bowen directly I got your letter but found the Crocodile had already been taken on shore. I then went to the Railway Station to ascertain if it had left for Ballarat but could hear nothing about it. I went again to the afternoon train with like result. I think it therefore better I let you know.

Yours faithfully

Albert W Le Soeuf

Director

The Town Clerk Ballarat

Mr Orr would suggest a sheet advertisement in the missing column of the "Argus" (??) Melbourne South. (??) - if the Capt Stewards or Agents can give no information _

March 30th

Dear Sir

I have applied to the office of A Worley + Co and heard that the crocodile is somewhere in Sandridge. I am however too busy to go hunting about for it. I have written to a bird dealer in Sandridge with whom I sometimes deal and asked him to try and find out where
