Ann Moran was one of the Irish Famine Orphans on the Lady Kennaway. She had been a House Servant prior to leaving her native place of County Roscommon, Ireland; she was Roman Catholic and could neither read nor write. Her Mother was still alive. (Nominal Passenger List - VPRS 14/P0000/0004)

Ann entered the Immigration Depot on 13th December 1848 and left there on 10th February 1849 when she was engaged as an Apprentice by William Stewart of Flinders Lane,Melbourne for 2 years at £8 per annum. (Disposal List - VPRS 14/P0000/0006)
