Ann Golden was one of the Irish Famine Orphans on the Lady Kennaway. She had been a Nursemaid prior to leaving her native place of Sligo, Ireland; she was Roman Catholic and could neither read nor write. Both her parents were dead. (Nominal Passenger List - VPRS 14/P0000/0004)

Ann spent 21 days in the Immigration Depot - leaving there on 2nd January 1848. She was engaged as a Nursemaid by Mr. Empson, Ironmonger, of Melbourne for 12 months at £9 per annum with rations. She returned from Hospital and went out on 3rd June. (Disposal List - VPRS 14/P0000/0004 & VPRS 14/P0000/0006)
