Ann Early was one of the Irish Famine Orphans on the Lady Kennaway. She had been a Nursemaid prior to leaving her native place of County Sligo, Ireland; she was Roman Catholic and could neither read nor write. Her Mother was still alive. (Nominal Passenger List - VPRS 14/P0000/0004)

Ann spent 6 days in the Immigration Depot - leaving there on 18th December 1848. She was engaged as a General Servant by Mrs. Hearndon of Melbourne for 12 months at £8 per annum with rations. She was also known as Allice Early (Disposal List - VPRS 14/P0000/0004 & VPRS 14/P0000/0006)
