| 63 Victoria Street Flemington is one of the earliest of the houses built in Victoria Street. It appears in the Rates Books for 1888 described as a wood house of four rooms and was owned and occupied by Richard Murdoch and his family. The Murdoch family are recorded as living here until at least 1905, by which time his children had all reached working and voting age. Richard was a baker, two of the girls became machinists and one a nurse, and his boys, an engineer and printer. It was certainly appears a busy household in quite a small house. The house has recently undergone some renovation.
